Proud to say that, after several years with the old layout, I am now (mostly) finished with refreshing this website. Not only is there a new theme and page organization, but I’ve also added my logo (Detta’s Designs), created a page for one of my latest projects (Bel), and expanded the SELUNA character page with new art,
Shadow now also swings. I tried to add a little bit of squash/stretch, maybe when I eventually touch up the animations further I’ll make his actions more exaggerated.
I’m also debating whether or not you’ll be able to have the lamp on while carrying it and attacking, etc. On the one hand I think it would be cool to have the shadow get flung around when you swing it so you have to get really good at aiming his attacks,
You can now swing the lamp in the air. I might add some landing lag to the attack at some point.
Shadow doesn’t have actions for the lamp attacks yet, but it’s on my list to do soon.
i’ve been working on some less noticeable changes like fixing shadow generation with multiple light sources, but in the meantime here’s a couple of more notable things i added recently.
a title screen mockup. the pixel art aspects (luna and selena, the street, kind of the moon) will likely not be changed,
Began to program The Guy’s AI. At this basic level, messing with any appliance will add its index to the end of a queue (really just a string) and, while there is at least one index in the queue, The Guy will walk towards that appliance until he is close to it. Once he reaches the appliance,
Added a dishwasher. This should be the last appliance in this area.
Also gave the room a splash of color, and trimmed the counter towards the end.
