Enemy and parry

Been a bit! Didn’t really touch the game in 2025 due to other priorities, but I’ve been chipping away daily since 2026 started as one of my main goals.

Recently started working on the first real enemy since the resprite/engine rework, a shadow slime that jumps towards Luna at random intervals. It’s actually a bit difficult to hit, since it’s too short for Luna’s punch combo.

Since I added something that can hurt Luna, I also had to implement some placeholder hurt frames, and added a parry skill that I was planning. With good timing, you can parry enemy attacks to briefly stun them. If you mistime it, it’ll go on cooldown for a few seconds.

Also featured is Luna’s air attack with the lamp, where she quickly swing it downwards. The lamp has a much larger hitbox, both when used on the ground and in the air, so it’s pretty easy to hit the shadow slime with it.
